Having established “Kyrym”, Moscow is forcing the Mejlis to register with the Ministry of Justice
Moscow - Simferopol, October 21 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Stamm) - Experts believe that the new interregional social movement of the Crimean Tatar people “Kyrym” can become a loyal alternative to the Mejlis. But the Mejlis will not cooperate with pro-government newcomers.

"The Mejlis is constantly mired in disputes; it has lost its constructive function and is inactive. Meanwhile, the people's problems need to be addressed now," Remzi Ilyasov, the head of the new organization and deputy speaker of the State Council of Crimea, told Kommersant. Ilyasov was suspended from the Crimean Tatar Mejlis for unauthorizedly assuming a position of power. He assured that the new movement is not being created as an alternative to the Mejlis and invited all Crimean Tatar activists to cooperate. At a conference to be held in mid-December in Simferopol, the organization's charter will be adopted. According to Ilyasov, a group of delegates will also be selected to seek a meeting with Vladimir Putin to present "proposals developed by the congress for the development and well-being of the Crimean Tatar people."
Let us recall that on October 14, at a meeting with members of the Human Rights Council, Vladimir Putin emphasized that the Russian authorities “cannot and should not have problems with the Crimean Tatars.” The President assured that the authorities will be “in constant dialogue with the Crimean Tatars - except for those who are members of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and are citizens of Ukraine.”
The Mejlis will not cooperate with the Crimea movement, said the deputy chairman of the organization, Nariman Dzhelyalov. According to another deputy chairman of the Mejlis, Akhtem Chiygoz, the “Crimea” movement is a “power project” that is being created to “ignore the representative body that the Crimean Tatars elected.” He advised the authorities to “establish a dialogue” with the Mejlis, the only organization that has authority among the Crimean Tatars.
The head of Crimea, Sergei Aksenov, previously stated that he did not intend to communicate with the Mejlis until its official registration with the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation. Remzi Ilyasov recalled that the Mejlis could be registered before the end of the year.
