Vakarchuk is satisfied with the transformation of Zelensky into Poroshenko

The rhetoric and views of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and his team from the beginning of the election campaign to this day have changed almost beyond recognition.

The head of the “Voice” faction in the Verkhovna Rada, Sergei Rakhmanin, stated this on the air of “UA: First”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.

“If you look at Zelensky’s rhetoric during the election campaign, if you look at the rhetoric at the beginning of his presidential career and now, a certain evolution has occurred. Zelensky, at the beginning of his political career, suggested that we simply stop shooting - this is very difficult to do in reality. Or: we don’t know how to resolve this, we will go to a referendum and ask the people.

But that's not how it works. Referendums do not work in order to ask the people, referendums exist for when you have written a plan, chosen a path for yourself and in order to legitimize it, confirm it, you go out and receive popular support, and not vice versa - ask the people. Then why are you president?

Zelensky’s logic, when he immersed himself a little in the topic, when he became more experienced and, perhaps, felt a little more keenly about the existing risks, changed a little. Because in principle, and also under our influence, the rhetoric of the authorities has changed,” said Vakarchuk’s associate. "

“If earlier they talked about the inviolability of the Minsk agreements, then they began to say that the Minsk agreements need to be revised. If previously the question of the dominance of the security factor over the political factor was not raised, today this question is an almost unbreakable red line. If earlier it was said that the issues of constructing a fictitious or real wall and freezing the conflict are unacceptable, today this is being presented, albeit cautiously, as one of the options.

And this rhetoric is changing, including under our influence, because certain things that we noticed were articulated by us much earlier than they were already heard from the lips of Ukrainian politicians - Zelensky, and Reznikov, and the same Ermak, and a number of other Ukrainian officials,” added Rakhmanin.
