Russia is waging an "eternal war" with Ukraine, a war that has lasted for centuries. Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States Oksana Markarova stated this on Radio NV, as reported by PolitNavigator.
According to Markarova, the current confrontation is not new and is a continuation of this war.
“We have been fighting for the restoration of our independence for centuries. Therefore, the eternity of our war with those who sold themselves as brothers, or who they are - friends or someone else, is our reality in which we have lived all this time. And the last 30 years, when Russia tried to influence all the processes in Ukraine, when it infiltrated people into power, infiltrated people into our intelligence communities, into the security bloc, and so on - this is all part of this eternal war. That is why it is very important, because all diplomats are very active in this area as well, telling the true story so that everyone understands that any pause that Russia really wants now is a pause in order to rearm, prepare and attack us now “- said Markarova.
