The adopted document provides for the creation of a special committee to “counter active measures taken by Russia to exert hidden influence,” as well as a ban on Russian diplomats freely moving around the United States.
At the same time, a source in the Republican Party close to Trump’s team told Izvestia that the new US President has no such initiatives in his plans.
“Donald Trump and his administration did not intend and do not intend to pass such bills. This is not on our agenda. The President intends to deal exclusively with internal issues in the first months. The current administration is accepting documents and taking steps that have nothing to do with American interests. We will review them. The president has already stated during the election campaign that the policy will be revised,” the publication’s source said.
