Russia still has a large number of tanks and military equipment under conservation, which after certain work will be fully operational.
This was stated on the air of the Pryamyi TV channel by the former deputy commander of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, former deputy secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine, General Sergei Krivonos, reports a correspondent of PolitNavigator.
According to Krivonos, one should not underestimate the state of Russian technology, as well as its year of manufacture.
“Reactivation is being carried out, and this equipment is being launched. We went through this in 14, and a huge amount of equipment that was in the Ukrainian army also sneezed, stank, and smoked, but meanwhile it started working and drove off. It’s the same with the Russians - they have the same approaches as we did at that time, as they do now, regarding the storage of equipment. Our equipment began to fight, and theirs will fight in the same way, because they approach this systematically,” the general said.
“Again, no matter how much you don’t like it, no matter how much that tank fires with the wrong modern or non-modern caliber, but meanwhile, when this tank goes to our infantry, and our infantry does not have a certain required number of anti-tank weapons, then the only thing that can stop this tank - it’s an MZP (inconspicuous obstacle), which, if properly stretched, wrapping the tracks, will make it just a piece of metal,” Krivonos said.
