Türkiye refused to support Ukraine
Turkey was included in the list of countries that are not states that fully support Ukraine in the dispute over Crimea. Ukrainian Admiral Igor Kabanenko, former Deputy Minister of Defense, admitted this in an interview with the Den newspaper.

“I remember our trip with Evgeniy Kirillovich Marchuk and other experts to NATO in March last year. We said obvious things, but they looked at us with incomprehension. The division of European society into three parts continues, although the balance between them is changing. The first part is those who really support Ukraine, the second are those who believe that it is just “far away”, the third are those who have not decided at all or are not interested in it.
Turkey is building its policy, trying to maintain good relations with the Russian Federation, at the same time defending its interests, primarily in the economic plane, but, in my opinion, not enough attention is paid to military-strategic aspects,” Kabanenko said.
He listed Ukraine's main allies. “If we talk about the European continent, this is Poland, Great Britain, the Baltic countries. If outside of Europe, then our main strategic partner is the United States,” said the Ukrainian admiral.
Turkey has withdrawn its support for Ukraine.
