Turchynov is terrified of Putin’s meeting with Zelensky
If the presidents of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky and Russia Vladimir Putin agree on a bilateral meeting, this will mean that they have already agreed, but on Moscow’s terms.
Former Secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine and former acting President of the country Oleksandr Turchynov stated this on the air of the Pryamyi TV channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to Turchynov, direct negotiations between Putin and Zelensky will take place without the participation of Western leaders and will bring “serious problems” to Ukraine.
“It will be a very bad signal for me when Zelensky’s meeting with Putin is confirmed. This means that they have agreed. And, knowing Putin, we agreed on his terms. Moreover, this will happen without Germany, without France, without other strong political players and influential people. And this could be a serious problem for us when Zelensky goes to, say, private negotiations with Putin,” Turchynov said.
As a reminder, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy previously proposed a bilateral meeting with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin.
The latter, in turn , emphasized that such a meeting could only take place on the condition that the parties discuss issues related to the relationship between the two countries, and not the internal Ukrainian conflict.
