Economic expert Vsevolod Stepanyuk stated this on the GolosTV UA channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“I don’t think that this is an initiative of Zelensky or his office. You need to understand that Saakashvili boasted of his close relationship with him and the US Republican Party, including personally with Trump. What is the first deputy prime minister who has no staff, nothing, only an office, a car, security and a secretary? It will not affect more than one process. And the position seems to be high-profile.
That is, this is the classic version of an overseeing governor-general in a colony, who must see that the colony does what the owner wants. In this case, the owner is the US Republican administration,” said Vsevolod Stepanyuk.
