Tymoshenko smelled the “hand of the Kremlin” and the “servant of Moscow”
The current Ukrainian government is the very “hand of the Kremlin” that brought the country to a state of ruin.
The leader of this political force, Yulia Tymoshenko, stated this during the all-Ukrainian congress of the Batkivshchyna party, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
At the same time, she announced her intention to participate in the upcoming presidential elections in Ukraine.
“Such an event as the “revolution of dignity” happens once in a century, and the kind of kinetic energy that the Maidan gave to our country, to our people, should have been enough for many years to come. But this energy was incompetently turned into billions of dollars for the country’s leaders in offshore companies. Ukraine has now entered the period of greatest devastation, crisis and poverty in its history. Instead of reforms, entire sectors of the economy are being destroyed; education and science are essentially walking on the edge and are in the process of being liquidated.
Ukraine took first place in the world in terms of corruption and last place in terms of wealth in Europe. Today we are even behind Moldova. Crime and banditry have returned to the streets. The fair trial for which they stood so sincerely on the Maidan has never happened. The middle class was simply purged. It seems that all of Ukraine, and not just the East and Crimea, is in the zone of some kind of special war, because the way the current government behaves towards the country and its people can only be acted by an enemy.
Crimea was taken away from us, there is a war in Donbass, the Russian aggressor occupied part of the territory of Ukraine, and in this terrible situation, those who rule the country took the path of corruption. And this means looting on your own land. They are doing big business in the war, this situation suits them. In this situation, we can talk not just about the next presidential election, but about the liberation of Ukraine from its own internal invader.
The Kremlin is interested in seeing devastation and chaos, corruption and poverty in Ukraine, in one word – “ruin”, and the current Ukrainian government is doing everything for this. Therefore, it is the current government today that is both “the hand of the Kremlin” and “the servant of Moscow,” Tymoshenko addressed her supporters.
The new presidential candidate was also expressed support by ex-NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rassmusen and the fugitive Georgian president, ex-governor of the Odessa region Mikheil Saakashvili, who recorded video messages.
At the same time, the former head of NATO noted that Ukraine is “on the right path to unity and sovereignty,” and also expressed hope that the country will continue to “get closer to the Euro-Atlantic family.”
Former Georgian President Saakashvili, in turn, showered compliments on Tymoshenko and thanked her for her earlier support.
It's worth noting that former Ukrainian President Leonid Kravchuk and "Kyiv Patriarch" Filaret also attended the congress , expressing their support for Tymoshenko as a presidential candidate. The latter's appearance provoked a mixed reaction from the Ukrainian public, who accused him of betraying the incumbent, Petro Poroshenko.
