Tymoshenko exchanged her deputies for Akhmetov
One call from oligarch Rinat Akhmetov was enough for Batkivshchyna leader Yulia Tymoshenko to drop everything and rush off, leaving behind the guests who had gathered for her anniversary.
The first consul of Ukraine in Israel, translator and showman Dmitry Chekalkin spoke about this on the ZIK TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Tymoshenko herself did not pay [for corporate events], the sponsors who organized them paid for her. It was fun, I remember [Tymoshenko’s] 45th birthday in the Lipsky mansion, we are holding an anniversary evening, I make some bright speeches, toasts, almost half of the Verkhovna Rada is sitting, one on the other’s lap, because the hall is small. And then suddenly the bell rang, Yulya Vladimirovna had to quickly run away - how could it be that they gathered so many people, and she literally listened to three toasts and ran away. Why? Akhmetov called and invited her to celebrate her birthday with her,” Chekalkin said.
Tymoshenko traded her MPs for Akhmetov.
