“They are losing the trust of the West”: Ukraine is stepping on the rake of diplomatic isolation
The insulting behavior of Ukrainian diplomats will lead to Kyiv losing all trust of its allies and falling into isolation.
Kiev political scientist Andrei Ermolaev said this on the Internet channel “News Live”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“Our diplomatic department paid attention to the connotation of the text. This is not a diplomatic, but a political technology technique; it has already made a lot of noise.
These are questions for our minister about how we conduct our foreign policy. If it’s so loud, then this is one approach. Maybe in the modern world such a move gives results,” Ermolaev said.
He stressed that Ukrainian diplomats behave extremely unsightly, and at this rate they will soon quarrel with everyone.
“But imagine the situation: you communicate with an old acquaintance, you have trust, there was mutual support. But at some point, your acquaintance begins to loudly voice your conversation between two people, telling it left and right. He doesn't do anything literally offensive, but it's unlikely that you will continue to communicate after this.
Ukrainian diplomacy is doing approximately the same thing. Of course, they won’t say to us directly: “Guys, what are you doing, on what basis are you editing a text that has become a document of twenty self-respecting major subjects.”
But in fact this will be reflected, diplomats will feel it: they will shake hands less tightly, they will start to avoid each other so that the next conversation does not become the subject of hate, they will talk less about the secrets that they were previously privy to. This is what this move leads to,” the political scientist added.
