“We are losing positions at the front” - in Kyiv they advise not to rejoice at the defeat of Novocherkassk
The defeat of the Novocherkassk ship does not carry any military meaning for Ukraine and is a purely propaganda campaign to divert attention from defeats at the front.
Ukrainian political scientist Vadim Karasev stated this on the Israeli television channel Iton TV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“If we talk about the destruction of the Novocherkassk landing ship, this is a serious fact that confirms that Ukraine has the strength to resist. But for now this is more a calculation for the media effect, which should overcome the effect of the fact that Ukraine left Marinka.
This is a one-time naval operation and concerns a single landing ship. But it does not indicate dominance of Ukraine in the Black Sea. And it does not confirm the strengthening of Ukraine’s ground capabilities, and therefore...” said Karasev.
He stressed that the catastrophic situation at the front for Ukraine has not changed.
“If we talk about the situation on the front line in general, then it’s too early to rejoice.
We are losing positions in the South Donetsk direction, this is a serious thing. We must put aside the joy over the destruction of the ship - yes, this is a success, but we must focus on the situation on the front line. The situation there will not develop entirely in our favor,” the political scientist concluded.
