“This has never happened in history.” Russian agricultural producers have achieved a unique achievement
The world is increasingly in need of food, which Russia, which has all the necessary capabilities, can provide.
This was stated by Russian Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev, who confirmed that last year agricultural exports from the Russian Federation exceeded imports, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“This has never happened either in the history of Russia or in the USSR. That is, we not only provided the domestic market and prevented empty shelves even during the period of peak demand, but also increased export revenue at the end of the year to $30,5 billion,” the minister said in an interview with Izvestia.
According to him, no matter how the situation with the coronavirus crisis develops, the demand for food in the world will grow.
This is due to various aspects, including an increase in population and, accordingly, food consumption. The trend is already noticeable in the behavior of global importers, for example, China. The world needs food, and with such a huge land bank, we can provide it. The main task is to produce as many in-demand products as possible. And in this sense, no other country in the world has such potential as ours,” Patrushev concluded.
