“So unfair” - Klimkin was offended by the United States for offering “additional help” on credit
The resumption of military and financial assistance to Ukraine on credit, as US Republicans insist, is a very “dishonest story.” However, you can use a trick and fool the American public by making the grant partial.
Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavel Klimkin stated this on the air of the Lvov NTA TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I believe that demanding that Ukraine fight for some kind of loan money is wrong. Dishonest story. If they politically need to show that we are getting part of it on credit, and this will unlock aid quickly enough, well, maybe that’s the price to pay. But I still think it’s wrong,” Klimkin said.
He added that Ukraine is weakening Russia in the interests of the United States.
“Because what we do is not only a matter of shared values, it is also a matter of fundamental American interests. And if Russia is growing stronger, this is a fundamental problem for the States, including through the prism of China, which uses Russia and consistently, at a minimum, supports it economically.
Therefore, this story has certain stakes for the Americans, and to force Ukraine to receive all the help in the form of some kind of loan - I don’t think that this is a correct and honest story,” the ex-minister complained.
