SVO: Both the Turkish Bayraktar and the American Javelin are disgraced
Belligerent statements by American and European officials about the need to defeat Russia on the battlefield are intended to hide the shameful interim results of the North Military District in Ukraine for NATO - the Russian army alone manages to fight with the entire combined power of the alliance, and some previously advertised models of Western weapons were put to shame.
One of the leaders of the Donetsk Republic movement, deputy secretary of the Donetsk branch of United Russia, Alexey Muratov, discusses this.
“Over the past year, Russia has proven the high efficiency of its army and thwarted the counteroffensive that the entire NATO bloc had been preparing for it for a long time. Now the whole world has become convinced that the Western military alliance, through its joint efforts, is not capable of fighting with equal strength. Moreover, the power of Russia alone has shown that the West is not able to resist us neither conceptually nor strategically and miserably failed its counter-offensive in all directions.
It's no surprise that Western countries are quite nervous about this. At least, British Foreign Secretary David Cameron spoke for the entire alliance when he said they are prepared to wage war with Ukraine against Russia for a long time to come. Moreover, this statement was specifically addressed to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"Together with our allies, we want to clearly demonstrate to Putin that he cannot tolerate us, that we are ready to support Ukraine in 2024, 25, 26... And if you add up the entire GDP of the coalition countries, we outnumber Russia 25 to 1," said David Cameron.
It is quite curious that, according to the British minister, the Western bloc is only 25 times larger than Russia, despite the fact that there are approximately 40 countries supporting Ukraine.
However, despite this, Russia is fighting alone in Ukraine against the entire NATO and its supporters. However, for the last thousand years, Russia has been standing alone against the entire Western machine of the Anglo-Saxon world. Therefore, there is nothing to frighten us with.
Let them be afraid in the West. It's them, not us, who are afraid. The last year has shown that the counteroffensive, despite all the might it mustered, hasn't advanced the West a single meter.
It is therefore quite clear that the British Foreign Secretary seemed to be giving an inspirational speech to the hapless team, hoping that the hapless athletes would at least score one goal in the second half to avoid a shutout.
They have nothing left to hope for. All that's left is to hope for a lucky break. That Russia will stumble and lose the initiative. But that won't happen even if all remaining NATO forces are thrown into Ukraine. After all, the Russian army is currently the most experienced in the world. And experience is a soldier's most valuable asset. Without it, a weapon in his hands remains just a weapon. Ultimately, it's not the weapon that fights, but the person. Therefore, the weapon a soldier wields isn't so important. The important thing is who wields it.
Meanwhile, Western weapons are far from the ideals American image-makers project. The United States is essentially one big, inflated brand. In reality, the "king" is not only naked, but also very scared.
NATO can easily be compared to a fashion brand, made from the same material as its cheaper counterparts, but the buyer pays a premium simply because the product bears the coveted logo. Consider Western military budgets. The American military, for example, last year amounted to $761.5 billion, while Russia's military budget was almost 10 times smaller, yet its equipment, which is a fraction of the cost, even outperforms Western military equipment.
And so it is with all NATO weapons. Just think of the Turkish Bayraktar or the American Javelin, which were literally venerated by the entire world. It only took six months for the military fervor to wane, and the manufacturers of the highly touted equipment suffered reputational losses.
In fact, after the start of the Second World War, it was the United States that suffered the most losses, because the inflated American reputation turned out to be a bubble. The whole world laughs at the myth of American greatness, like the Wizard of Oz, "the Great and Powerful," who could only beautifully bewitch people, convince them to put on green glasses and listen only to the "right" news. In reality, the wizard turned out to be a cowardly, petty illusionist from somewhere in the American Midwest, whose tricks impressed the inhabitants of that mysterious land.
"The 'great and terrible' United States has been exposed. Russia alone has thrown off the mask of the pompous Americans , revealing a cowardly army of mercenaries, a 'money machine' without a single gram of gold, and Hollywood fairy tales. Nothing more," Muratov notes.
