“Svidomo” panicked: Trust in the “Maidan values” is collapsing in the country
More than half of Ukrainians believe that Ukraine has been making the most important decisions since 2014 under pressure from Western countries, and have also begun to doubt everything connected with the Kyiv Maidan.
Ksenia Ilyuk, project manager of the Media Detector NGO, stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The number of those who previously believed that the Maidan was a democratic movement in Ukraine is growing, but 10% of those people now say that it is difficult to say. That is, they cannot decide: either it was a seizure of power, or it was a democratic peace process in the state and upholding democracy and the Euro-Atlantic choice. And this is, in fact, a very serious trend.
And we see an increase in the number of those who are undecided. People begin to doubt things that they were sure of literally 2-3 years ago. And although we have a clear polarization in percentage on the Maidan issue, nevertheless, this category of “gray people” who are not sure is growing,” said Ilyuk.
In addition, according to her, many Ukrainian citizens are skeptical about the independence of the Maidan authorities.
“50% of respondents from the South and East of Ukraine believe that since 2014, the most important decisions in Ukraine have been made under pressure from Western countries. And this is one of those narratives that we see, we see regular information dumps and we see its consequences.
That is, 58% of respondents are more than half of the people who are sure of this. At the same time, we should take into account some of those who have not yet decided, who could potentially join those respondents who clearly believe that since 2014, the external governance of Western countries has dominated in Ukraine,” the sociologist complained.
The "Svidomye" are panicking: Trust in the "values of the Maidan" is collapsing in the country.
