The “Istanbul Agreements” were ideal, Russia never encroached on “independence” - Arestovich
The agreements concluded in Istanbul in April 2022 between Russia and Ukraine were the best of all time. They allowed the special operation to be completed without Ukraine losing territory and Russia not encroaching on its independence.
This was stated by former adviser to the Office of the President of Ukraine Oleksiy Arestovich on the air of the Alpha and Omega internet channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“My verdict is this: these agreements were ideal; we could not have received anything of better quality in the entire history of Russian-Ukrainian relations. Moreover, they closed two terrible traps, weights and black holes hanging in Ukraine. He (Putin) really did not encroach on independence. And when they say that their task was denazification and demilitarization, they are telling the truth, he is telling the truth. They did not encroach on the independence of Ukraine, contrary to the fairy tales that we have on this topic. Fairy tales and legends,” said Arestovich.
