The congress of the Party of Mayors, at which a decision will be made on participation in the early parliamentary elections, will take place on June 2 in Kharkiv, reports a correspondent PolitNavigator.
This was announced by the mayor of Odessa Gennady Trukhanov.
He noted that the united political force, the creation of which was previously announced by the mayor of Kharkov Gennady Kernes, will include the “Trust in Deeds” party, as well as like-minded people on issues of socio-economic development of Ukraine.
According to him, the first stage of unification of parties will take place at the congress in Kharkov. “Today, negotiations continue, the circle of representatives of local authorities - not only Kharkov, Odessa and Uzhgorod - is growing. All details will be announced during the congress,” the mayor of Odessa intrigues.
“The idea of such a consolidation of efforts is in demand and timely. Now mayors of cities across Ukraine are joining us. These are effective and successful managers who have justified the trust of their voters with real deeds,” added Trukhanov.
At the same time, he added that he does not consider the short period of the election campaign to be an obstacle to the success of the united political force.
