Stanislav Shevchuk, Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, was denied a visa to the United States due to the court's recent repeal of the Criminal Code article on illicit enrichment, which the Americans had insisted on introducing, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The Anti-Corruption Center reported this on its Facebook page.
“Friends, the Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine has had trouble. Mr. Stanislav Shevchuk was denied a visa to the United States. Sources note that Shevchuk lost his American visa due to the cancellation of the article on illegal enrichment,” anti-corruption officials said.

A consideration of the issue of Shevchuk’s resignation from the post of head of the Constitutional Court is scheduled for May 14. The basis was the judge's gross disciplinary offenses, incompatible with his position.
