Kyiv, August 15 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – The United States will finance the protection of the Ukrainian border, along which barbed wire may appear.

The United States will purchase 2,5 thousand coils of barbed wire to protect the border with Crimea and the eastern territories of Ukraine. This was reported in the contract award notice on the official Internet resource of the American government, Federal Business Opportunities.
“The barbed wire is needed by the state border service to protect the newly established border between the Ukrainian mainland and the Crimean Peninsula, as well as to strengthen the eastern border of Ukraine,” the published document says.
The contract amount is 435 thousand dollars, as specified in the message. The purchase of wire will be carried out within the framework of the Anti-Crisis Assistance Program for Ukraine, approved by US Vice President Joseph Biden on April 22 of this year.
As Navigator reported, earlier the governor of the Dnepropetrovsk region, Igor Kolomoisky, proposed building a reinforced concrete wall along the border with Russia.
