The US will introduce penalties for traveling to Russian Crimea
During a visit to Warsaw, State Department Special Representative for Ukraine Kurt Volker announced strengthening sanctions against Russian Crimea - in particular, the United States intends to initiate the introduction of liability for visits to the peninsula by Western politicians without the consent of Kiev.
Volker made this statement during a speech at the Warsaw branch of The German Marshall Fund.

“It is important that the US, EU, Ukraine and other countries do not recognize the Russian annexation of Crimea. “I think it’s time to think about how we can make our position tougher, including consequences for (politicians’) travel, trade and business contacts with this territory,” the Ukrainian agency Ukrinform quoted the American as saying.
