Moscow - Kyiv, March 10 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Stamm) - There can be no peace in Ukraine, because this is a war for the Soviet legacy, which the United States rightfully considers its victors in the Cold War and wants to wrest from Moscow with the hands of Europe. This opinion was expressed in an interview "KP" political scientist, rector of the Higher School of Television of Moscow State University Vitaly Tretyakov.

“There are fundamental things that cannot be changed,” says the political scientist. - First. Americans believe they won the Cold War. They really won. And the entire twentieth century, the United States conducted a strategy of domination in the world. Americans have no other policy for anyone - neither for Russia, nor for China.
Second. The Americans, being great pragmatists, understand perfectly well why they won against the USSR. The Soviet doctrine was to build paradise on earth, and in paradise, as you know, the righteous live. And when it became clear that the population of the USSR, like any other, did not consist of righteous people, our entire machine began to malfunction. They continued to build Paradise, but there were no righteous people. And Americans build their society not based on the best traits of a person, but on the basis that a person has both the best and the worst traits. And this is closer to reality.
Americans know that there can be no peace in the world. There is a war for resources, oil, water, land. This cannot be avoided. But we must ensure that these wars are waged as far as possible from our borders and not by our own people. The US does just that. Europe has been effectively occupied by the American military since World War II. It was the “aggressive” Russians who took and withdrew troops from Europe under Gorbachev and Yeltsin, while the Americans did not withdraw anything! Although there is no longer the Soviet Union, there is no Warsaw Pact, there is no Hitler. Europe is under the control of the United States, and the Americans do not need it to get out of control and unite with Russia.
And the last in this chain is the war for the Soviet legacy. Everything that fell from the hands of Moscow, America must take for itself with the hands of Europe. This is instinct,” summarizes Tretyakov.
