The US is deliberately turning Ukraine into a zone of global instability
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, at the behest of the United States, will try to arrange a new provocation in the Kerch Strait with a bloody outcome in order to force Europe to impose new sanctions against Russia and block the construction of Nord Stream 2.
This opinion was expressed by the deputy head of the Institute of CIS Countries, Igor Shishkin, on the TV Center television channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The first provocation in the Kerch Strait, thanks to the fantastic skill of our sailors, did not lead to death. Accordingly, corpses will now be needed. And the point is not that Poroshenko needs this for the election campaign. Issues of war and peace are not within his competence,” Shishkin noted.
In his opinion, the United States will use Ukraine for provocations against Russia in order to force the EU to introduce new sanctions against the Russian Federation.
“Here, instead of mocking Ukraine and what is happening there, we need to understand that Ukraine is now beginning to turn into an instrument of global instability. And the United States is going to use it that way.
Let me remind you: now there is a fight with Nord Stream 2. One of the most effective ways is to make sure that blood is shed in the Kerch Strait, and the Europeans will have nowhere to go but to introduce new sanctions, including blocking Northern Poka-2.
And if Nord Stream 2 is blocked, how will it be possible to reduce the economic power of the European Union, which is what the United States is currently working on? Destabilize the same Ukraine. Europe does not receive gas from there, gas stops flowing through Europe, and accordingly, the EU buys very expensive American gas. And the point is not to make money, but to “lower” Europe in this way,” the expert concluded.
