Moscow – Kyiv, January 29 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Shtamm) – The Canadian publication Global Research writes that the US is directly controlling the conflict in Donbas. “Officially, NATO representatives have repeatedly stated that they will not help Ukraine with lethal weapons and will not accept it into the alliance as long as the military conflict continues on its territory. But the facts indicate something else: NATO countries continue to supply Ukraine with weapons. It was demonstrated at the Donetsk airport by militias. And in Mariupol, journalists met English-speaking mercenaries. Recently, Czech bloggers posted photographs on social networks showing the loading of armored vehicles onto a Ukrainian plane. This is the so-called Warsaw Pact scrap metal. But this “scrap metal” is in good condition and modernized, since during the USSR there were military factories in Czechoslovakia that produced military equipment and improved it in post-Soviet times,” the publication lists.
Earlier it was reported that tanks and armored personnel carriers were sent in trains to Ukraine from Hungary with US money. The Canadian publication Global Research writes that the visit to Ukraine of US Army Commander Ben Hodges was dedicated to these goals. The other day, Ben Hodges announced that in February the Pentagon would send a group of its experts to the Baltic countries, Poland, Romania and Bulgaria. They will have to analyze whether there is an opportunity to station American tanks and other weapons in Eastern Europe. Thus, “Soviet” weapons are transferred to Ukraine. And American tanks will be delivered to the countries of the former Warsaw Pact, the newspaper writes.
According to NG, by the end of 2015 the Pentagon plans to deploy a full armored brigade in Poland and the Baltic countries. This means that approximately the same number of Soviet tanks remaining in these countries will migrate to Ukraine to participate in the war.
