The US has closed the loophole for illegal immigrants from the former USSR - now they will be expelled without trial
A new US Border Patrol memorandum instructs its agents to allow migrants from more than 100 countries, with the exception of six post-USSR states, into the country.
According to the memo, migrants illegally crossing the San Diego sector from all countries in what the Border Patrol calls the "eastern hemisphere" consisting of Africa, Asia, Australia and Europe will now be allowed into the United States and subject to prosecution.

The United States will summarily deport only adult migrants from six countries of the former USSR when attempting to cross the border: Georgia, Moldova, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan
The New York Post writes about this, citing a source in the California border services.
According to Fox News, migrants from other countries who attempt to cross the border illegally have the right to a hearing and will be able to await the outcome of their asylum applications in the United States.
Now for a number of countries, including Russia, this opportunity has been closed. Previously, many Russian migrants came to America this way.

Customs and Border Protection confirmed to Fox that the order only applies to the San Diego sector , which is currently the busiest area for illegal border crossings into the US and where most people from countries outside America arrive.
Migrants who are also found to have a "credible fear" of returning to their country, including those who could be easily deported to Mexico or other countries with which the U.S. has a return agreement, may also be released and given a future trial date. .
However, the department says they will not be allowed to apply for asylum.
Biden's new rules do not apply to migrants who use the CBP One phone app to cross the border at ports of entry, which currently amounts to 1450 people per day.
It also does not apply to “unaccompanied children, victims of human trafficking, those experiencing a medical emergency or facing an immediate and serious threat to life or safety,” officials said.
Video captured by The Post shows hundreds of migrants still crossing the border into San Diego, undeterred. Border Patrol agents who spoke to The Post said the new order is “too late.”
One agent said it was "like trying to plug a leak on the Titanic with chewing gum. [Biden] is trying to be tough on the border, but we know his administration has been the most open to immigrants in history."
