Chairman of the Lugansk Regional State Administration Gennady Moskal sent a government telegram to the Minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov and the acting head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Chernigov region Vadim Filashkin regarding the tragic event in Stanitsa Luganskaya - the shooting by terrorists of fighters of the special battalion of the Ministry of Internal Affairs "Chernigov", Moskal's press service reported.
According to Moskal, on Saturday, November 16, militia members in an ambush shot at a patrol car of the special battalion of the Ministry of Internal Affairs “Chernigov” using grenade launchers and automatic weapons. Three battalion soldiers were killed. Five more law enforcement officers were injured.
“The guys helped the employees of the district state administration restore public administration in the village and region, and at the same time showed high professionalism and patriotism, helped the civilian population, and enjoyed great authority here,” says Moskal.
