The Ministry of Finance reports this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Per message, the total amount of direct public debt in national currency as of June 30 amounted to UAH 1,65 trillion.
At the same time, Ukraine’s direct external debt increased by $150 million over the month, to $37,24 billion, while direct internal debt decreased to UAH 678,88 billion.
State-guaranteed debt as of June 30 amounted to UAH 306,76 billion, or $11,75 billion.
Let us remind you that the national debt increased by almost $2 billion in April.
However, the increase in public debt in itself does not threaten the Ukrainian government in any way, since old debts are covered by new borrowings, and creditors, as practice has shown, are cooperative, wanting to get their money back and not lead to a default. At the same time, such a policy is increasingly depriving the country of independence both in politics and in the economy.
Ukraine's total external debt reached $75 billion, according to the Ministry of Finance.
