The Security Council will compensate for the catastrophic state of the Ukrainian army by recruiting Maidan activists into the “National Guard”

“It’s a completely catastrophic condition... Almost not a single unit of armored vehicles could not only leave the unit, but could not start,” he said.
Parubiy added that the authorities now have to urgently solve this problem.
He announced that tomorrow the Verkhovna Rada could adopt a law on the re-establishment of the National Guard, which, according to Parubiy, would include Maidan activists.
“We will call on all groups that were involved in security on the Maidan to join the ranks of the National Guard... Tomorrow begins training for activists who were on the Maidan to prepare for their participation in the National Guard of Ukraine. We will appeal to all activists on the Maidan who want to join,” the official said.
According to him, all cases will be made public when “all those who did not agree to join the NG, to fulfill their duty to the people of Ukraine, but call themselves various brands of the Maidan.”
In total, Parubiy clarified, the Ukrainian army needs 20 thousand volunteers in the near future.
“The National Guard will have sufficient resources to carry out the priority tasks that Ukraine faces,” said the Secretary of the Security Council.
