Aleksey Arestovich, a former adviser to the office of the President of Ukraine, included in the list of extremists and terrorists by the Russian Federation, stated this on the air of Alexander Shelest’s video blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

It's a complete demotivation of the soldiers," said Arestovich.

Some of them get in and become fighters, especially those sent to older brigades where they have experience, where they're trained and turned into fighters. But the majority, especially in the new brigades, are simply demotivated. Sometimes they just leave their positions."

If something fundamental doesn't change—motivation, training—no matter how many people are conscripted, the effectiveness of this conscription will be very, very low.
