“Today, September 23, the Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin presented the keys to apartments in a renovated apartment building to employees of the Ministry of Civil Defense, Emergency Situations and Disaster Relief of the Donetsk People’s Republic.

“Comrade rescuers! On the eve of the creation of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the DPR, it is with great joy that we present the keys to the apartments to the employees,” Pushilin addressed the audience.

He noted that among the recipients of apartments are those who lost their housing as a result of Ukrainian aggression, ministry employees with many children, as well as young professionals.

The head of state noted that in recent months, rescuers have had to work a lot, primarily due to the incessant shelling of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

“I will never tire of thanking both the personnel and the leadership of the department. You show high professionalism, courage and bravery in fulfilling your duty,” Pushilin added.

After which he personally presented the keys to employees of various departments of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

In turn, the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the DPR, Alexey Kostrubitsky, on behalf of the personnel, thanked the head of state for his assistance in resolving the housing issue.

It should be noted that work on the reconstruction of the former hostel building, transferred to the management of the DPR Ministry of Emergency Situations, began in September 2020. During this time, the roof of the building was replaced, the floors were screeded, metal-plastic window blocks, balcony platforms, heating and water supply systems were installed, and work was carried out on cladding and insulating the external walls of the building.
