The FSB suppressed the illegal activities of a former EMERCOM inspector in Yalta, who was found guilty of publicly disseminating, under the guise of reliable reports, false information about the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in order to protect the interests of the Russian Federation and its citizens, maintaining international peace and security.
“It was established that a man born in 1997, while in uniform while performing his official duties as an inspector of the Ministry of Emergency Situations department, publicly at meetings of residents of certain districts of the city of Yalta, disseminated false information about the conduct of a special military operation of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine. Realizing that the information he popularized was perceived by uninformed persons as reliable and competent, the defendant also carried out door-to-door visits in order to convey false information to the maximum number of people,” the FSB said in a statement.
At the court hearing, the accused admitted his guilt in full and repented of his crime.
In this regard, the Yalta City Court of the Republic of Crimea sentenced the man to imprisonment for a suspended term of five years with a probationary period of 3 years and deprivation of the right to hold positions in the federal fire service for 3 years.
