Moscow - Kyiv, April 7 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Stamm) - Well-known American financial speculator George Soros calls on the European Union, instead of helping Greece, to invest in Ukraine and get involved in a war with Russia on its side. The United States needs to create a rift between Europe and the Russian Federation as much as possible, prevent the easing of European sanctions against it, and form a united front on the continent against Moscow. And Soros personally wants to invest in the agricultural sector of Ukraine.

Soros believes that Europe now faces two challenges. These are Greece and Ukraine, and both need help. But the European Union does not have the money to support both countries. According to Soros, it is Ukraine that is now at the forefront of the struggle for European principles and values, so it is necessary to support Ukraine, which is defending itself against the aggressor Putin.
Soros sounded the alarm right now, believing that Ukraine is on the edge of an economic and financial abyss. Ukrainian firms and banks, which owe huge amounts of hard currency, are, according to Soros, approaching the stage of bankruptcy. He scares the EU with millions of refugee flows, Putin’s victory and the fact that Europe finds itself between the United States and Russia.
For Soros, the danger lies not so much in the Ukrainian catastrophe as in the fact that such a scenario could lead to the easing of anti-Russian sanctions. It is the collapse of the united anti-Russian front that poses the main problem for the United States, NG notes in this regard.
The American billionaire sees a way out not only in organizing massive and targeted financial assistance specifically to Kyiv, but also in political and military support for the new Ukraine, “even to the point of participating in direct military confrontation with Russia.” Soros, apparently, is not afraid of a hot, much less a cold war with Russia - “Russia will lose it just like the Soviet Union did in the past.”
Soros's position on Ukraine is determined primarily by the possibility of obtaining significant profits. He expects to invest money in energy efficiency, the agricultural sector and small businesses in Ukraine. Investment requires stability, which Soros wants to achieve through the EU, provoking Europe and Kyiv to violate the Minsk agreements. “And he is ready to advise Kyiv to violate them and, apparently, even more - to start a new military adventure in the hope that the West will not be able to stand aside,” the newspaper writes.
But if the fire of war engulfs not only south-eastern Ukraine, but also other Ukrainian and not only Ukrainian regions, it is unlikely that Europe and its neighbors will be able to withstand another war, the publication recalls. After all, today future adversaries have at their disposal such weapons of mass destruction that can turn the continent into a lifeless desert. Then the price for Soros's proposed investments in Ukraine will be too high for Europe to approve and support them.
