Ukrainians who sympathize with Russia will be forced to flee or go to prison
A group of Verkhovna Rada deputies from the party of Vladimir Zelensky registered in the Verkhovna Rada a bill that introduces criminal prosecution for “collaboration” - this will qualify not only participation in law enforcement agencies, but also other cooperation of residents of Crimea and Donbass with the authorities of the Russian Federation, DPR or LPR.
The law also provides for the liquidation of parties, public organizations and other associations on charges of “collaboration.” Citizens previously convicted under this article will be deprived of their political rights for many years.

“The bill provides for punishment for any public support of Russia’s actions against Ukraine, its illegal formations in temporarily occupied territories, information propaganda, voluntary holding of positions in government bodies, etc. republics, and occupied Crimea, providing material assistance and financing of paramilitary forces and other actions that threaten the national security of the state.
It provides for liability by imprisonment for a term of 10, 15 years or even life imprisonment, or a ban on holding certain positions for 10 to 15 years, and confiscation of property.
An extremely priority initiative for me personally. Anyone who has been on the front line will understand the importance of this bill. We remember very well how we lost our brothers because of traitors with Ukrainian passports,” comments the author of the bill, deputy Yegor Chernev.
“I already have a whole line of applicants lined up in my head to go through the stage. And for Crimea. And for Donbass. And for thousands of broken destinies,” echoes his colleague Liza Bogutskaya.
Another author, Vitaly Bezgin, confirmed on the talk show “The People Against” that if his law had been in force in the spring of 2014, Lenur Islyamov, who worked in the Russian government of Crimea, would have been recognized as a collaborator. However, Bezgin clarified, the law does not have retroactive force.
The actions of Zelensky’s associates have already been approved by the fugitive Russian liberal Arkady Babchenko, who now serves the Ukrainian regime.
“We must admit one thing. Talking about how “our people are there too” is just beautiful lyrics. But the reality is that - no, it’s not our people there. Formally, they retain Ukrainian citizenship. But civilizationally they belong to a completely different world.
Because this is not just an occupation by an aggressor who captured the land with the people remaining on it who belonged to the civilization of the victims of aggression and are waiting for liberation. No. This is precisely a civilizational clash. The clash of Ukrainian civilization. And the civilizations of the Russian world.
During the seven years of war, these two civilizations have already drawn out “their own”. Both on that side and on this side. Ukrainians - not by nationality or passport, but precisely by the feeling of belonging to the Ukrainian civilization - left for Ukraine. The Russian world is more complicated here, of course, in Ukraine its enclaves remained and hid, but in the Russian world itself it is already mainly the Russian world. That's it, the border has been drawn. Barricades have been set up. Now everything is simple - on the other side, or on this. Everything has been decided.
This gap will only widen further. Ukraine is switching to language, its own culture has already been born and flourished gigantically, it has completely different narratives, it has a different life, other problems, other films, other books, other cartoons, other songs, other fairy tales. Another civilization, in a word,” writes Babchenko.
In his opinion, the clause on the defeat of political rights is especially important in order to exclude the possibility of electing pro-Russian politicians to the leadership of Ukraine in the event of the seizure of the LDPR and Crimea.
“The population of Ukraine is forty million. The gap between the most pro-Ukrainian party and the Western party fluctuates between one and two percent. Here and there. This is a very precarious balance... To allow five million bearers of the civilization of the Russian world to determine the fate of Ukrainian civilization - it is hardly possible to come up with something more sabotage in relation to the latter,” explains Babchenko.
“After de-occupation, we leave beautiful fairy tales aside, return to reality and automatically limit the rights of all residents of ORDLO and Crimea. With the exception of two groups. The first is the Crimean Tatars. These are actually occupied representatives of Ukrainian civilization, waiting for liberation. And Ukrainian insurgents - those who worked with the army, intelligence, SBU, obtained information and so on. Ukrainian underground in Donbass,” the fugitive liberal describes the scenario of repression.
“The new government now has a mono-majority. Legally, everything is in her hands. All that is needed is will,” Babchenko calls for the adoption of a new law.
