Zelensky’s words about the “rebels” are worthless
The word “rebels” thrown by Zelensky at the debate, with or without intent, in relation to the Donbass militias, should not mislead Russians and residents of the republics, much less instill any hope.
In addition, the non-participation of the “rebels” in the elections deprives both Zelensky himself and all his statements of legitimacy.

Donetsk sociologist Evgeniy Kopatko and State Duma deputy from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Leonid Kalashnikov stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Yevgeny Kopatko also recalled that both presidential candidates made it to the second round largely thanks to Ukrainians who did not vote.
“Let's look at the situation. Still, in the first round, the number of people who did not take part in the elections, there are exactly so many of them, this is 8 million people at a minimum, who did not vote, this is exactly as many as voted for Poroshenko and Zelensky combined. And society recognized this, you see, there is internal legitimation, with all the violations. Only the lazy did not say, from any side, that the elections were with violations, with problems, with problems. But most importantly: minus 8 million. Now this story is repeating itself.
I want to say one thing. You know, in Donetsk many people are watching this situation. They look at it, they see all the statements, they react very sharply to everything, to every word said. But please do not create any illusions about what was said in the context of the word “rebels”; it is beneficial for them,” he noted.
Chairman of the Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots Leonid Kalashnikov also noted Zelensky’s words about the “rebels,” however, according to him, precisely because the “rebels” of the LDPR were not allowed to participate in the presidential elections, the position Russia about their non-recognition will be the only true one.
“We have not forgotten that it is precisely those rebels whom he calls who have finally, now in a word, really rebelled for their freedom, for their safety, even if he is flirting, I don’t believe him either. But I also understand what situation he will find himself in tomorrow: there are nationalists around, and parties that are present in parliament, he will need to win this parliament, and so on. But still, people have hope.
Let's say, we in the committee have already made a decision not to recognize these elections in due time, and they brought it to the Duma Council. Why? Because if these rebels had voted, would Poroshenko be there now in the second round? No, I wouldn't. Either Tymoshenko or Boyko would be there, you know? This means that these people are no longer citizens of Ukraine,” the politician emphasized.
As PolitNavigator reported, Poroshenko's headquarters has already seized on Zelensky's phrase about "Donbass rebels."
Let us recall that less than a week ago, Zelensky's headquarters stated that they did not intend to negotiate with the "terrorists" of the LPR and DPR.
Zelensky's words about "rebels" are worthless.
