Due to excessive reporting requirements, Russian businesses view government projects with suspicion and are reluctant to cooperate.

The director of the Center for Political Information, Alexey Mukhin, announced this on air at Komsomolskaya Pravda radio, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

Due to excessive reporting requirements, Russian businesses view government projects with suspicion...

"When we deal with the economy, we're extremely inflexible. Our foreign investors say, ' You have very good legislation. Why isn't it enforced?' You regularly carry out anti-regulatory purges, especially now, recently. Mishustin's government has been doing this obsessively, to make life easier for businesses."

They ask, "Why don't you use all this?" Because our businesses are accustomed to treating the government with suspicion . For example, as an employer, frankly, I understand a significant portion of businesses, because I prefer not to work with the government. And that's okay, because the reporting is so bad that my accountant is simply dying!" Mukhin noted.

He proposed to repeal or rewrite the federal law on public procurement.

"That's why I think that when we change the infamous Federal Law No. 43 on public procurement, when we either repeal it, excuse me, or radically change it, public money will finally start working for society, purchasing power will increase , and we will become more honest," the analyst concluded.
