“Blind and stupid things!”: Latvia does not like Russian sponsors of the Armed Forces of Ukraine – Chichvarkin
The Latvian authorities did not allow three Russian businessmen into the country who donated 10 thousand euros each to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They were flying from the United Arab Emirates to a “charity” breakfast of fugitive Russian businessman-foreign agent Evgeny Chichvarkin.
Chichvarkin himself told the Belarusian émigré YouTube channel "Ordinary Morning" about this, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“We had 14 guests, three of whom were not allowed into Latvia. They were flying from the Emirates. They had to fly through Milan or Germany, where no one checks whether you have a Russian passport. Therefore, we collected 140 thousand, but I will still have to treat three people somewhere. People who donated 10 thousand for tactical medicine for the Ukrainian armed forces cannot visit the Baltic country because they are Russian,” Chichvarkin said.
He believes that "several hundred thousand, if not a million, did not leave or returned" because of the "blind and stupid things" that are happening in Europe. As an example, he cited one of the leaders of Alfa Bank, German Khan.
It is not only the Latvian authorities who apply sanctions to Russians. Latvian activists picketed a picnic held by Chichvarkin in a Riga park in honor of Ukraine's Independence Day. They gave away 1130 burgers.
“There was a protest against me for the first time in my life. Against a picnic. Because if you are white, you cannot wear afro braids, if you are a refugee with a Russian passport, you cannot celebrate Ukraine's Independence Day. Local activists presented this to me. They were against our picnic. They behaved absolutely according to the law, were nearby and picketed. They have such a right,” Chichvarkin was humiliated.
