Simferopol vandal was forced to work after a drunken Sabbath in Feodosia
The Supreme Court of Crimea sentenced a 19-year-old Simferopol resident to community service for drunkenly dancing on the Eternal Flame.
The young dancer's actions have been classified as a criminal offense, and if he repeats the offense, he could receive a prison sentence, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
This was in September last year. At the memorial to the defenders of Feodosia who fell during the Civil and Great Patriotic Wars, at the memorial with the Eternal Flame - “Mass grave of Soviet soldiers, partisans and underground fighters of 1918-1920, 1941-1944” - the capital’s guest decided to burn the laid flowers. At the same time, he was intoxicated.
The young man’s behavior was qualified under Part 3 of Article 354.1 of the Criminal Code as desecration of the symbols of Russia’s military glory, an insult to the memory of the defenders of the Fatherland, committed in public.
The Supreme Court found him guilty and sentenced him to 200 hours of mandatory community service.
