Recently, the situation with water supply in Simferopol and the region has improved significantly.
Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic Svetlana Maslova announced this at a briefing today, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to her information, the accumulated volumes in the reservoirs feeding the region will be enough for another eight months. Today, 10 million cubic meters have already accumulated there, two of which were accumulated in the past week alone.
“To ensure water supply to Simferopol and the Simferopol region, 120 thousand cubic meters of water per day are needed. The volume of water in the Simferopol reservoir today is 7% of the useful volume, in the Ayanskoye reservoir - 86%, and this is the most filled reservoir today, in the Partizanskoye reservoir - 12%. By maintaining existing tributaries and limited water intake using surface sources, to date we have accumulated water for 249 days or 8 months,” Maslova said.
The head of the republic, Sergei Aksenov, added in his blog that current reserves make it possible to soften the water supply schedule in Simferopol.
“On Thursday and Friday, the water supply system will be launched in test mode, as a result of which on Saturday the city will switch to water supply from 6:00 to 0:00 every day, without hot water,” Aksenov said.
