Shurygin demands an immediate answer to the director of the Institute of the USA and Canada, the "sub-pindoss" Garbuzov
Russia has no right to stand on a par with the superpowers of the USA and China; it is in vain that it cultivates imperial illusions among its population.
Valery Garbuzov, Director of the Institute of the USA and Canada at the Russian Academy of Sciences, wrote about this in his article in Nezavisimaya Gazeta, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Trying to rally around itself on an anti-Western platform the former colonial and oppressed peoples of Asia, Africa and Latin America, involving them in the fight against the countries of the “golden billion,” Russia today claims to be the leader of the “global majority.” However, it has not yet managed to compete with the United States and China and become an independent geopolitical anti-Western locomotive. And with the help of the newly created state mythology, it is unlikely to be able to do so.
The purpose of all this is quite obvious - plunging one’s own society into a world of illusions and accompanied by great-power and patriotic rhetoric, the undisguised and deliberate indefinite retention of power at any cost, the preservation of property and the political regime by the current ruling elite and the oligarchy integrated with it.
In the conditions of the information age, replacing reality with illusions, Russia seems to be frozen in the past, still relying on the Tsar-Father or another firm hand of the supreme power, while trying unsuccessfully to regain its former greatness, lost possessions and global influence,” writes Garbuzov.
His article outraged the Russian expert community.
“I, as a well-meaning citizen, after this disgrace: I categorically demand that the Institute of the USA and Canada. Arbatov, and specifically his director Garbuzov!” wrote economist Mikhail Khazin in his tg channel.
Komsomolskaya Pravda columnist Sergei Mardan points out that Garbuzov’s article is not inferior in its anti-state charge to the speeches of Igor Girkin (Strelkov), suspected of extremism.
“But respected Igor Ivanovich Strelkov is currently thrown into prison as an extremist and traitor, and the director of the Institute of the USA and Canada heads a budget institution and occupies a cozy office with air conditioning and a secretary. Why does the USA and Canada Institute exist in principle? In theory, this charitable institution should exist solely as a kind of think tank, the goal of which should be the destruction of the strategic United States as a strategic enemy of Russia.
But it seems that Mr. Garbuzov does not completely agree with this concept. Why is a specialized scientific center, which should be entirely within the structure of the FSB of the Russian Federation, headed by a Fulbright scholar, “the largest international education program funded by the US government?” Mardan writes.
Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Moscow Region Georgy Filimonov considers Garbuzov a “sleeping” agent of Western intelligence services.
“Here they are – the “sleepers”. They show themselves even in their immediate surroundings. Without exception, all American grant-eaters who work at the Institute of the USA and Canada are not alien to the very stereotypical American Russophobic attitude towards their own country,” he believes.
Military expert Vladislav Shurygin calls Garbuzov’s article “presented to Putin and Russia.” This scientist’s behavior “never surprised him.”
“Another thing is interesting - the moment of Garbuzov’s demarche. It’s obvious that this idiot clearly calculated the moment. In fact, he, on behalf of the liberal scientific humanitarian khevra, declared war on Putin and all those who share his course. It is obvious that Garbuzov is confident in his integrity. That scientific regalia and connections will reliably protect him from any threat.
And this, of course, is a challenge to the authorities. She must formulate her answer. Moreover, decisive and very visual. Garbuzov wants war? He must have it! And you need to start with a financial audit of the activities of this “office”, and then deep uprooting and cleaning. Only this way and no other way!” Shurygin wrote.
