Seva Novgorodtsev dispelled Ukrainians’ hopes for Great Britain
BBC columnist Seva Novgorodtsev disappointed the hosts of the Ukrainian TV channel ZIK by predicting that possible British sanctions against Russia will not be total, as they would like in Kyiv.

“Of course, something will grow, but such a fairy-tale ending that Now Theresa May will swing, freeze all accounts and send all the children of famous officials to Moscow, this will not happen. Neither banks, nor universities, nor organizations that deal with Russian businessmen are directly subordinate to the government,” Novgorodtsev said.
He also rejected the Ukrainian presenter’s version that Putin was offended that no one was afraid of the strategic weapons he presented and therefore decided to demonstrate chemical weapons in Britain, allegedly poisoning defector Skripal.
“The British base their actions on proven facts. Something that is completely impossible to deny. The Kremlin is not monolithic, there are 23 towers and the same number of clans. Therefore, it is premature to say that everything is coordinated; there are no grounds for this. Moreover, the official Moscow government denies any relationship,” the journalist emphasized.
