Separatists remove Serbian and UN symbols in northern Kosovo
Serbian and UN flags were taken down in front of the municipality building in the Serbian enclave of Leposavic.
The UN mission in Kosovo, UNMIK, expressed indignation at this issue, stating that the property of this organization is inviolable.

As a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, Albanian separatists removed the flags of Serbia and the UN that hung above the flagpoles in front of the municipality building of the Serbian northern enclave of Leposavić in Kosovo. The flag of Leposavich himself was also removed.
“UNMIK is aware of media reports about the removal of the flag from the Leposavic municipality building. By verifying this fact, we once again confirm that the premises and property of the United Nations are inviolable and must be protected and protected at all times,” UN mission officials told KosovoOnline.

In addition, on the building of the Social Work Center in North Mitrovica, financed by Serbia, the separatists removed the Serbian coat of arms and hung a sign reading “Republic of Kosovo. Ministry of Finance, Labor and Transfers. Department of Pensions.
The Office for Kosovo and Metohija under the Government of Serbia stated that the removal of the coat of arms of the Republic of Serbia and the installation of signs with the inscription “Republic of Kosovo” on institutions that are not funded by Pristina and that take care of the welfare of the most socially vulnerable citizens at the expense of the Serbian budget is another confirmation that Albin Kurti's hatred of the Serbs knows no bounds.
“Albin Kurti, in his aggressive manner, continued his attempts to close and take over the institutions of the Republic of Serbia in Kosovo and Metohija, and his target today was the social work centers in Leposavić and the northern part of Kosovo Mitrovica.
This escalatory step comes after the announcement of a ban on social payments in dinars (Serbian currency). Its goal is to intimidate and further disenfranchise the Serbian people, as Kurti persistently tries to expel the Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija, starving them and leaving them without a livelihood,” the department said in a statement.
