US senators approved confiscation of Russian property in favor of Ukraine
American senators voted for a budget for next year that provides $45 billion “for Ukraine and allies.” An amendment providing for the possibility of transferring seized assets of Russian oligarchs to Ukraine was also supported.
The press service of the Verkhovna Rada reported this, clarifying that “Ukraine very much counts on the final decision,” which should be made in the House of Representatives of the Congress.

Meanwhile, the Hill publication indicated that only 86 of 213 Republicans in the House of Representatives listened to Vladimir Zelensky’s speech in Congress yesterday.
The Republican Party is quite skeptical about the assistance program for Ukraine.
The publication quotes Rep. Chip Roy, who called Zelenskyy's speech " more theater that was orchestrated by the current outgoing Democratic leadership of the current Senate leadership to try to maintain the belief that $47 billion—again, without any debate—will just magically be created out of thin air and sent to Ukraine ."
“Something that bothers me is this position of the Republicans. I would like to hope that this is simply their indicative reaction to the actions of the democrats, and not their attitude towards Ukraine. Otherwise, we have problems,” comments ex-Nazi Verkhovna Rada deputy Borislav Bereza.
