In Odessa, employees of the Security Service of Ukraine detained a local resident who called for the creation of an “Odessa People’s Republic.”
This was reported by the press service of the SBU, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“At first, the Odessa resident established ties with pro-Russian separatists from ORDLO. Then, on their instructions, he called on social networks to support the pseudo-formations “L/DPR”. And, in the end, he began to advocate for the secession of the Odessa region from Ukraine.

Law enforcement officers conducted searches at the places of registration and residence of the attacker in Odessa. The discovered materials indicating his activities to the detriment of state security have been added to the case,” the statement says.

The department added that at the moment, security investigators have informed the detainee of suspicion of committing a crime under Part 1 of Art. 258-3 (assisting the activities of a terrorist organization) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The issue of choosing a preventive measure for him is being decided.
