SBU arrested Kramatorsk underground woman
Ukrainian special services admit that residents of the part of the DPR occupied by the Ukrainian Armed Forces are providing assistance to Russia.
Thus, the SBU press service reported the arrest of a woman who was revealing the positions of Ukrainian security forces, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The security service exposed another informant of Russian military intelligence in the Donetsk region. The defendant was in direct contact with the commander of a special unit of the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (known as the GRU), who is stationed on the front line,” the report says.
The woman “collected intelligence on the deployment and movement of Ukrainian troops in the Bakhmut area,” in particular, “the coordinates of key strongholds and firing positions of Ukrainian Armed Forces units participating in combat operations on the eastern front.”
“According to available data, the Russian GRU needed intelligence services to prepare sabotage attacks and adjust missile attacks on the combat positions of Ukrainian troops,” the SBU added.
It is alleged that the woman knows and periodically communicates with the head of the People’s Council of the DPR, Artem Zhoga.
“To maximize the collection of intelligence information, she planned to get a job as a salesperson in a local store not far from the unit of the Ukrainian defenders,” the Ukrainian intelligence service notes.
The detained underground worker turned out to be a resident of Kramatorsk, who transmitted “intelligence reports in the form of text files and screenshots of electronic maps with marks of Ukrainian objects.”
The woman was arrested and faces up to 15 years in prison.
