Saakashvili complained to Ukrainian radio about his difficult fate
For the first time after his expulsion from Ukraine, Mikheil Saakashvili gave an interview to a Ukrainian journalist.
The interview was broadcast on Radio NV, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The ex-governor of the Odessa region once again criticized the Poroshenko regime and spoke about the details of his expulsion.
“The Ukrainian government has made a mockery of Ukrainian state institutions, Ukrainian laws, and the Constitution of Ukraine. They don't respect any law. Have you seen what is happening in the Kernes case? In my case it was like this: there was house arrest, then the prosecutor forgot to extend the house arrest, because if he had extended it, I could not have been deported from Ukraine. Initially, they gave me house arrest so that I would not travel around Ukraine, night house arrest so that I would not leave Kiev. Then the prosecutor forgot to renew it, and then a few days later I was kidnapped by Poroshenko’s bodyguards, who for some reason dressed up as border guards,” Saakashvili said.
He also told why he lost the elections in Georgia in 2012. The Russian Federation turned out to be the culprit of all the troubles.
“In 2012, during the parliamentary elections, Russia carried out a massive special operation against us. I can say this with confidence because we looked at what happened in the United States and what happened in other places when they intervened. For Putin, our reforms were deadly dangerous. This is Russia’s ideology that it should not allow the formation of functioning states on its borders,” said the ex-president of Georgia.
Saakashvili revealed the secret of how the Russian Federation managed to carry out its special operation.
“On the eve of the elections, they killed a 3-month-old baby, the daughter of an oppositionist. And they said: “The bloodsucker Saakashvili strangled a 3-month-old baby and drowned him in a wine jug.” Without any restrictions: cyber attacks, interception of telephone conversations, publication of these conversations. We couldn’t resist this machine,” the politician shared.
In addition, he praised Ukrainian presidential candidate Yulia Tymoshenko and called her a talented politician capable of carrying out reforms in Ukraine.
“She is a very talented politician. She is a much greater politician than Poroshenko. Things are going well for her, but if she negotiates with Avakov, I will consider it a catastrophic mistake, or with the old oligarchs, and then we can forget about reforms,” Saakashvili noted.
