Saakashists Attack Western Journalists
The Georgian opposition, which is causing unrest in the center of Tbilisi, does not allow journalists to work freely.
US Navy veteran and independent journalist Patrick Lancaster reported this on his Telegram channel.
"During today's protest in Tbilisi, Georgia, Italian journalist Andrea Lucidi and I were aggressively surrounded, pushed back, and harassed by many protesters . As a result, our ability to cover the protest was disrupted," the author wrote.
However, he promised that his report was still to come.
"Freedom of speech and journalism are vitally important and should never be restricted. It's worth noting that, with the exception of protesters, I've never had any problems freely performing my work as a journalist in Georgia ," Lancaster added.
Saakashvili's supporters attacked Western journalists.
