"It is nonsense. This is another attempt on the part of the Kyiv authorities to create a barrier between Russians and Ukrainians,” he said.

The politician noted that the initiative of official Kyiv ignores the fact that the visa regime will complicate economic and family ties between residents of the two countries. As a result, Ukrainian citizens themselves will not allow the idea of ​​a visa regime to be implemented, Basov predicts.

“A huge number of relatives live in Ukraine and Russia. And all the same, sooner or later, this will play a role,” warned the leader of the Russian Bloc.

The day before, Secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy said that the country's leadership had made a decision to withdraw from the CIS and introduce a visa regime with the Russian Federation.
