A military expert, retired SBU Colonel Oleg Starikov stated this in an interview with journalist Alexander Shelest, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Once the enemy has gained a foothold, it is very difficult to drive him out. The enemy learns quickly. Have you noticed that “Rusnya is running”, “fuckers”, and everything else, it’s already gone. They changed the actions of the infantry and began new principles of conducting combined arms combat in the Russian-Ukrainian war. At the beginning of the war, and even a year ago, the battles were completely different,” Starikov said.
“Our main task is that our fortified areas are located in populated areas where you can hide from drones. And the enemy is in the steppe, in a forest plantation. And the war is going on in the forest plantations. It is necessary to cover the distance from one forest plantation to another. If they did not overcome it, the drones were destroyed, then they remain in place.
But as soon as they are assigned to the first street, it is urgent to knock them out from there. If it doesn’t work out, then they gain a foothold there, help immediately arrives, and they begin to pass through,” the expert added.
