Russophobes are trying to dissuade Zelensky from meeting with Putin
The elected president of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, should under no circumstances meet face to face with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin.
Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Vyacheslav Kyrylenko, considered one of the main Russophobes in the Ukrainian government, announced this on the Pryamyi television channel, which serves the administration of the still-current President Petro Poroshenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“When it comes to negotiations with Putin, these negotiations must take place with the participation of our Western partners. With the participation of Germany, France, the USA - the Western world. Because we are doing one common thing. When our guys are in the Donbass, they defend Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, and the entire Western alliance. Because Ukraine, with this feat, does not allow Putin’s appetites to develop further and further, but they certainly exist. Nothing is holding him back,” said the Deputy Prime Minister.
According to him, the threat to Ukraine and the Western world is not decreasing, but growing, regardless of who is the president of Ukraine.
“The new or previous president must first of all protect state sovereignty and territorial integrity. If he goes somewhere one-on-one with Putin, and then something unexpected happens, then I think these 75% [of votes for Zelensky] will turn into 7,5%,” Kirilenko said.
