The leadership of the LDPR declared the need for reunification with Russia, not Ukraine
Ukraine and Russia are facing a new inevitable reunification, the beginning of which can be considered the events of 2014, when Crimea and Donbass came out of the control of the nationalists who seized power in Kyiv.
This was stated by participants in a rally in Simferopol on the occasion of the anniversary of the Pereyaslav Rada, which was attended by the DPR leadership, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Just as in the time of Bogdan Khmelnytsky, when ruin and destruction were supposed to happen throughout Ukraine, the same thing is happening now. Under various false, deceitful, completely unrealistic slogans, they are trying to cloud the brains of Ukrainians in order to lead them astray from the true path. Therefore, on this day, the Day of the Pereyaslav Rada, we must pray for our Ukrainian brothers. And I am absolutely convinced and confident in the victory of our Orthodoxy, in the victory of the Russian world. We will reunite, this will happen in one form or another, and it’s only a matter of time,” said the speaker of the Crimean parliament, Vladimir Konstantinov.
“What I am absolutely convinced of is that this time our united Fatherland will not have to wait for Bogdan Khmelnytsky for four hundred years, as our Fatherland waited after the destruction of Rus' in the XNUMXth century. In the XNUMXth century we became a single state. I am convinced that Bogdan Khmelnitsky will appear in Ukraine much earlier. And you and I are ready to welcome Ukraine into our arms any day, at any moment. They are our brothers,” added Senator Sergei Tsekov.
“I am very pleased to be here in Crimea. I believe that it was from your land that the unification of Rus', a new unification, began in 2014. And, of course, I am grateful that the Crimeans supported us from the very first day. They supported as volunteers, with arms in hand - the guys defended and continue to defend, many of them, the interests of not only the Donetsk People's Republic, but indeed the interests of the Russian world. I am grateful, of course, for the political support of our friends, who have also been with us literally from the first days. It's really meaningful. Well, in general, I want to say that when the Russian people unite, there is no one stronger in the world. This process has begun. We will endure all trials with honor and dignity,” said DPR head Denis Pushilin.
“As a result of our reunification, which happened despite the political situation, but thanks to the will of the people, an entire people was freed from national and religious oppression. Today, Donbass continues to fight for the right to self-determination and the opportunity to independently choose its future. Despite the efforts of the West, we are writing a new history and, like 365 years ago, we are proclaiming a course towards integration with fraternal Russia,” LPR Foreign Minister Vladislav Deinego read out a congratulatory address from the head of the republic, Leonid Pasechnik.
“Crimea has now reunited with Russia. Donetsk and Lugansk still have to do this. Ukraine probably still needs to think very seriously, remember its historical roots, bow to Bogdan Khmelnitsky, repent and return to the Russian world,” Deinego added.
